Easter Egg Fights

Apr 22, 2011 by Sara

One of the greatest traditions my husband’s family has is that of Easter egg fights.

At first I had no idea what they were talking about. Fighting? With Easter eggs? That doesn’t sound very Christian.

But it’s a tradition that goes way back and we do it every year. Along with the hunt to find the eggs, it’s always the highlight of the day.

So here’s how it works…

After all the hard boiled easter eggs have been found (make sure you count BEFORE you hide them so you know how many are out there), each person gets an egg in their hand and makes a fist around it.

You then have to go ‘tap’ someone else’s egg on the end.

The person’s egg that does not crack wins!

You repeat with the other side of the egg.

The person with the last uncracked egg wins the egg fight!

It’s super fun and kids of all ages can participate.

Enjoy!

Happy Easter and Passover and Everything!

Easter At Our House

Apr 7, 2011 by Sara

Here’s a little peak at the Easter decor around our house this year.

You can get your own copy of the free Easter themed subway art from Hopscotch Studio Designs, I just sent it over to Costco Photo Center online and got a 16×20 print for $5.99. Not bad right?

Also, if you are feeling really crafty, you can make your own silhouette Easter Eggs by following the tutorial from Le Papier Studio, however, mine were found at Home Goods.

And finally, my friend Megan sent me this link to the Moody Fashionista’s Easter Carrots. We will be making these for Easter snacks, how ridiculously cute are they?
