The Mothball Fleet

If you live in the East Bay and have traveled on I-680 to get to Tahoe, chances are you’ve seen the Mothball fleet in the Suisun Bay. I’ve always been fascinated by it – the armada of over 70 ghost ships just floating out there.
It’s creepy.
It’s awesome.
If you’ve ever been by them and wondered “what exactly is on these ships?” then you will love this post like I did.
Scott Haefner and buddies snuck on board the ships over 2 years and took these awesome pictures.
You need to go check it out, the ships are slated to be scraped and work has started to get them prepped for towing.
