New Favorite Word: Tchotchke

Apr 20, 2011 by Sara

Wordless Wednesday. Look what I realized I’ve had in my cabinet all these years!  It houses my collection of obscure spoons.  My Charles and Di tchotchke mug!

Yup, that’s me, all kinds of crazy!

Happy Hump Day All!

Thanks Jill for the comment – Now I don’t feel like such a giant loser. Just a loser. :D

  2. Dude, this is awesome! My Mom is visiting and we were just discussing our memories of watching the Chuck and Di wedding. We were also discussing which network might have the best coverage of the wedding next week. Which channel are you planning on watching? My husband suggested that BBC might be best, since they’re British and all.

I’m thinking BBC America might be a good bet – HOWEVER, there will be a live internet feed. This may be a multiple screen viewing event. NBC has gone royally nuts too so I don’t know. My party guests better not have any grandiose ideas about controlling my remote because I will be in charge!

  3. Tchotchke is yiddush, isn’t it? I’ll take this post as a passover shout-out for your Jewish friends. i.e. me. I’m gonna ignore the mug cause girl? You are on a one-way street to crazytown with this obsession of yours. WAIT A SECOND. All this time, I was assuming you weren’t British. Please tell me you’re British.

Yes, it is a TOTAL shout out! I’m sorta British. I mean I have a passport (one of 3 – I’m really a spy, shh. don’t tell) No accent – but I can sound like Madge or Gwyneth if needed.

  4. Hahaha – love it. You are officially Royal Wedding obsessed!
