Are You Going to BlogHer’11? Linkup…

Apr 6, 2011 by

I’m relatively new to blogging, only 3 months officially under my belt even though I feel as if I’ve been blogging in my head for the last 35 years.

It’s been a steep learning curve for me and I’ve already met some incredible people through this fascinating medium.

In particular, I’ve loved linking up with these 2 groups:  The Red Dress Club and The Ultimate Blogging Party.  Both of these groups are dedicated to helping bloggers network and find audiences that share their passions.

With the Red Dress Club (TRDC), it’s for people who like to write and love to be challenged by interesting writing prompts. Twice a week, writers and aspiring writers like me, can link up their submissions and receive feedback and constructive criticism.

In exchange, you turn around and read someone else’s posts and return the favor. It’s been a wonderful journey for me and I am truly in awe of the talent I have met.

It’s hosted by 3 amazing bloggers who also tweet as: @Mommy_pants@ITSMoments and @Ksluiter.

This is my favorite TRDC submission that I’ve made so far: Into The Deep Blue

Ultimate Blog Party 2011Over at the Ultimate Blogging Party (UBP), they combine fun giveaways and linkup opportunities for bloggers to meet one another. It’s a week long event, April 1-8th and so far has been eye-opening for me.

The Ultimate Blog Party is just that — the ultimate place to party and meet new friends, (but no babysitters, airplanes, or tickets necessary!)

UBP is hosted by two other amazing bloggers: Susan and Janice who tweet at @5minutesformom

This is my UBP11 submission page: Ready to Party – Ultimate Blog Party 2011

Which brings me to this other monster event out there in the ‘blogosphere’: the BlogHer 2011 conference in San Diego this year.  It’s a 2-day event, held in San Diego that promises to do the following:

BlogHer ’11 will bring over three thousand attendees together from all over the world to share hands-on learning, rich discussions, opportunities to meet with the brands that support them and plentiful networking opportunities.

So I would like to know:

  1. Who’s going to BlogHer’11 from TRDC and/or UBP11?
  2. Have you gone in the past?
  3. What did you get out of it?
  4. What do you hope to get out of it this year?

I’m not sure I can make it for this year but I’d love to understand more about it so please LEAVE A COMMENT and LINK UP if you are going!

LINK HERE if you participate in The Red Dress Club and will be at BlogHer ’11. Submit your favorite TRDC submission to date.

LINK HERE if you have participated in the Ultimate Blog Party 2011 and will be at BlogHer’11. Submit your UBP11 intro page.

Have only ever signed up to #trdc once, but read them ALL of the time, in fact, it really hinders my blogwriting ;)

I did link up to the UBP11, and nearly lost my mind trying to follow the Twitter feed the other night – visiting blogs has been easier!

    Love

  8. This is a fabulous idea!!

I have been blogging for two years and I still feel like a newbie! :0)

This will be my very first time going to BlogHer-the only conference I have done was a Bloggy Boot Camp in Boston this past May.
I’m excited to meet all of the folks I love to read, especially those from TRDC. Such a talented group!!

  9. I went to Blogher last year, and it was incredibly overwhelming, exciting and just simply amazing! The networking with bloggers and companies are great, and so is the swag but mostly you learn a lot including the importance of being proud of being part of this great community. I’ll be there again this year.
